Francisco Cortes was born and raised in the touristic village of Zermatt in the Alps. He has been writing songs for over 10 years. After finishing high school, he moved to Luzern and changed his name to Frank the Songman. After having released countless songs under different names, Frank the Songman started growing weary of the music industry. Ranging from topics like identity issues, alienation and depression, Frank the Songman paints a rather bleak picture for industrial society. All he can do is keep doing songs, trapped in a vicious cycle of expectation and disappointment.
